Fidel Castro became Prime Minister of Cuba in February 1959. The following month he flew to Washington DC.
President Eisenhower decided to attend a golf tournament rather than meet with Castro.
Castro went on to Nationalise private property and businesses, much of it American owned, totaling $25 billion.
Wealthy Cubans left the country in great numbers and formed an expat community in Miami, Florida. Cuban-Americans now make up 60% of the population.
Today there are some 2 million Cubans living in the US, mainly in Florida.
Their loathing of the Castro Government is only exceeded by their longing to return home.
Many say they intend to return to Cuba when the political climate is right.
Basically when Castro has gone.
And we know that wealthy people invest in the history of their country...it's a fact.
Cuban History will be a hot ticket.

A recent U.S. Geological Survey suggests Cuba can also lay claim to 4.6 billion barrels of oil and 9.8 trillion cubic feet of natural gas.
That's worth tens of billions of dollars.
The Canadian oil firm Sherritt is the most active foreign investor in Cuba.
A company spokesman says "We see Cuba as a great environment to do business in ".
Times they are a changing.
And there are signs that money is about to pour into Cuban History.
Last week there was an auction in Dallas, Texas.
The star item? It was a lock of hair taken 40 years ago from the corpse of Che Guevara. It was taken by a Cuban born CIA agent.
It sold for $100,000.
It shows the market is ready, people are beginning to buy Cuban History , and in a big way.
