Available at Stanley Gibbons:
One of the finest collections of British Historical Documents
It's taken us 363 years to put together the Trilogy Collection.
Three unique letters written by the three individuals involved in the longest act of family revenge in British History.
The Trilogy Collection offers a unique letter from each of the three men involved. Charles I, Oliver Cromwell and Charles II.
Each document is handwritten and signed.
These documents resonate from one of the most colourful times of British History.
They date from 1645.
Consider that for a moment... 1645... over 140 years before George Washington became the first US President.
We rarely handle documents of this calibre, simply as they do not exist in any great quantity.
Most will be in Museums, and rightly so. So, items like this are a privilege to have in stock.
The items were purchased by our history expert Ania Polyniak. Ania travels the world attending auctions, talking to clients, old and new:
"I am continually amazed that historical documents like this are available on the open market. The rarity of the items is what makes this such a good investment opportunity"

Collection
The letters date back to 14th July 1645 when Oliver Cromwell believed that killing King Charles I was the only way to bring the English civil wars to an end.
Cromwell was the third signatory on the death warrant of King Charles I. Charles was executed on 30 January 1649.
Cromwell was sworn in as Lord Protector on 16 December 1653, he died at Whitehall, London on 3 September 1658.
It was King Charles II who finally revenged his father's death.
In 1661, Oliver Cromwell's body was exhumed from Westminster Abbey, and was subjected to the ritual of a posthumous execution.
Symbolically, this took place on 30 January; the same date that Charles I had been executed.
Cromwell's body was hanged in chains at Tyburn.
His disinterred body was then thrown into a pit, while his severed head was displayed on a pole outside Westminster Abbey until 1685, when it was rescued by a well wisher.
Afterwards the head changed hands several times, including the sale in 1814 to a man named Josiah Henry Wilkinson, before eventually being buried in the grounds of Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, in 1960.
To this day there is a plaque in Westminster Abbey reading "THE BURIAL PLACE OF OLIVER CROMWELL 1658 - 1661"
Many documents relating to the Civil Wars were destroyed during the Restoration.
The Restoration began in 1660 when the English monarchy, Scottish monarchy and Irish monarchy were restored under Charles II.
Much of Cromwell's correspondence was lost forever.
It's what makes these items so rare today.

We're convinced that this calibre of British Historical document has to be a good investment.
Why? Well, remember back to December 2007 when we had our last influx of British Royalty stock?
We had purchased an Edward IV signature, Mary Queen of Scots etc... The majority of these unique items sold in December 2007.
There is a huge demand for this type of historical signature but there is also a very limited supply, after all, 363 year old documents don't grow on trees.
It's why we would be happy to guarantee you a 60% capital gain on the investment in 10 years time.
The Trilogy Collection is for sale at £31,250 ($57,000). We would be happy to insure and store the collection for you free of charge (or deliver it to your home).
In 10 years time we will be pleased to repurchase it from you for a guaranteed minimum £50,000.
That's a 6% per annum guarantee. On par with your bank rate but with an unlimited upside.
So, if the market for rare British Historical documents continues to progress as we believe it will, then you'll have every opportunity to exceed the 6% per annum guarantee.
We'll also advise you on your most profitable exit route when the time comes.
As I said earlier, the last time we had documents of this calibre they all sold within one month.
