Elvis – “The King” enters our Top 30 this month...

With the 32nd anniversary of his death approaching on the 16th of August, the whole controversy of whether Elvis still walks among us unnoticed still rages.

The conspiracy theory over whether Elvis is actually dead pops up from time to time. It is one of those headlines used by the tabloids when they are really struggling for new ideas.

It all started in 1978 when singer/songwriter Ronnie McDowell was quoted as saying, "Sometimes I wonder if he (Elvis) really is dead. I wonder if maybe he just wanted to be free to walk around."

Elvis became the biggest heartthrob of the 1950’s with his nickname “Elvis the Pelvis” based on his innovative (at that time) and provocative dance which sent girls wild.

His first album titled “Elvis Presley” topped the pop album chart for 10 weeks.

Not only was he renowned for his music but he also starred in many films such as Love Me Tender, Blue Hawaii and Viva Las Vegas to name just a few.

He is famous for his array of singles such as Love me Tender, Jailhouse Rock, All Shook Up, Suspicious Minds.

Elvis is as famous now, 32 years after his death, as he was when he started out his career in 1955. His memory is still adored by millions.

All these fans go mad for Elvis memorabilia ranging from clothes worn by him to signatures. Basically... anything touched by “the King”.
