Last week, I had the pleasure of giving a presentation to a number of high flying Directors in Guernsey. They wanted to find out about the merits of investing in collectibles.

A number of the attendees wanted to find out how to get into our market after the presentation.

In light of the fact that we offer the perfect investment for times like this, I was not surprised.

I started the presentation something like this:

"There are two key words which will come through in this presentation today. The first word if Diversification. Certainly, in my lifetime there has never been a greater need to look at diversifying your wealth in the current economic conditions.

The second word is Passion. Passion is what makes an investment in the collectibles market unique. The majority of traditional investment mechanisms are driven by the motivating factors of fear and greed. The collectibles market is driven by passionate collectors chasing a scarce number of items to build a collection which they treasure."

I was very pleased with the response my presentation received. An enjoyable lunch ensued where the main talking point seemed to be the current state of the banking system and whether your money is safe in a bank.

I had people coming up to me at the end asking for one of our "investment information packs" promising they will be in to see me soon.
